Women and Words
This week The Book Show brings together a group of women for readings from Irish women’s literature, plays, history, diaries and journals to build on the spirit and momentum inspired by the #readwomen and #wakingthefeminists initiatives.
For the third year running The Book Show marks International Women’s Day (8th March) through literature. As well as readings, there will be music and songs in a celebration of women’s voices past and present.
The show was recorded in front of a live audience at this year’s Mountains To Sea literary festival at The Pavilion Theatre in Dun Laoghaire.
Our guests on stage are Sabina Higgins, Miriam O’Callaghan, Jennifer Johnston, Olivia O’Leary, Alison Spittle, Temper-Mental MissElayneous, Lisa Lambe (with Fiachna O’Braonain), Eilis NíDhuibhne, Ali White, Louise O’Neill and Inni-K.
